Description
Many section headings in the ISV module (International Standard Version) version 1.5 (2001-11-07) are incorrectly displayed in JSword based front end apps such as BibleDesktop 1.6 and AlKitab 2.3.
Examples:
Matthew 23:1 incorrectly displays, "Jesus Denounces the Scribes and the Pharisees" within verse 1.
Matthew 23:37 correctly displays, "Jesus Rebukes Jerusalem" before verse 37, though without any extra spaces after verse 36.
cf. SWORD for Windows v1.5.11 displays such headings correctly.
Also observed at the same time for the ISV module.
BibleDesktop and AlKitab correctly display WoC in red, but SWORD for Windows didn't.
This is a description of two non-encoding problems, really, and pertains not to the module but to application support for ThML markup (which was itself, frankly, never sufficiently standardized or defined for use with Bibles in the ways that Sword needs to access Bibles).
Changed issue type to Improvement, Priority to Minor. The module should be converted to OSIS, but updating to the latest version of ISV should be investigated as an alternative.
