Web based startup runs but doesn't display bibles (ERROR: Cannot find class 'org.crosswire.jsword.passage.PassageKeyFactory')

            Description

            I am able to successfully launch BibleDesktop from the JNLP file http://www.crosswire.org/bibledesktop/stable/bibledesktop.jnlp and the UI displays correctly, but after downloading bibles, the text does not display. The Java console contains errors like:

            ERROR: 'Cannot find class 'org.crosswire.jsword.passage.PassageKeyFactory'.'
            FATAL ERROR: 'The first argument to the non-static Java function 'getName' is not a valid object reference.'

            If I download and run the installer then BibleDesktop runs with no problems and the bibles downloaded by the webstart version are visible.

                Oracle has changed WebStart in Java 7 so that it no longer works. Bugs have been reported against it and Oracle has hidden them.

                We are unable to fix this, so we've removed the option.

                So very sorry.
